Returning to Bangkok: Three Lessons KAIYA Brought Home from Cosmoprof CBE ASEAN 2026

KAIYA reflects on Cosmoprof CBE ASEAN 2026 and three directions reinforced in Bangkok: cleaner development, dependable quality, and practical problem-solving.

From June 24 to 26, 2026, KAIYA returned to Bangkok for Cosmoprof CBE ASEAN 2026 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. This year also marked the first dedicated Cosmopack CBE ASEAN area, bringing packaging, ingredients, OEM/ODM manufacturing, machinery, and other beauty-supply-chain services into clearer focus.

KAIYA has made the Bangkok show a regular part of our industry calendar. Returning year after year gives the exhibition a value that goes beyond displaying products: we reconnect with long-term customers, meet new brands and sourcing teams, exchange ideas with other industry professionals, and hear directly what the market expects from color cosmetics and packaging suppliers.

Quick overview:

  1. Clean beauty development and more responsible packaging require continued practical R&D.
  2. Reliable quality creates more lasting value than competing on the lowest price alone.
  3. A capable supplier should help customers solve product-development problems, not simply accept an order.

Meeting Long-Term Partners and Starting New Conversations

One of the most meaningful parts of returning to Cosmoprof CBE ASEAN is meeting customers we have worked with over time. Face-to-face conversations make it easier to review current projects, understand how products are performing in different markets, and identify what can be improved in the next development.

The show also introduced KAIYA to new brands with different product ideas, price positions, target markets, and sourcing challenges. Some visitors were looking for finished color cosmetics, while others needed empty packaging, formula development, original molds, or better coordination between the formula and container. Friendly exchanges with fellow manufacturers and suppliers also helped us see the industry from a broader perspective.

Three Directions the Exhibition Reinforced for KAIYA

1. Continue Developing Cleaner Cosmetics and More Responsible Packaging

Beauty brands are paying closer attention to what goes into a product and how its packaging is constructed. For finished cosmetics, this means clearer formula objectives, appropriate ingredient choices, stable performance, safety assessment, regulatory review, and honest communication. “Clean beauty” should not be treated as a vague slogan or a guarantee created by excluding one ingredient; it needs to be translated into a workable product brief for the intended market.

For packaging, responsible development involves equally practical decisions. Material simplification, reduced unnecessary components, mono-material directions where technically suitable, PCR options, refill concepts, and improved recyclability all require project-specific assessment. A package must still protect the formula, operate reliably, survive transport, and deliver the intended user experience. KAIYA will continue developing these directions without separating environmental considerations from real packaging performance.

2. Build Products around Quality, Not a Race to the Lowest Price

Price will always matter in commercial development, but the lowest initial quotation does not necessarily produce the lowest total project cost. Unstable formulas, inconsistent shades, poor closure fit, unsuitable applicators, weak decoration, assembly problems, or unreliable repeat production can create delays and additional expense after an order has already begun.

Our takeaway from the show was not that every product must be positioned as luxury. It was that every price level still needs an appropriate quality standard. KAIYA will continue focusing on formula performance, packaging function, production consistency, clear specifications, and realistic recommendations so customers can build products that support repeat business rather than only win a short-term price comparison.

3. Help Customers Solve Problems, Not Simply Make Products

Many customers do not arrive with a completely finished brief. They may know the category they want to launch but remain uncertain about the formula texture, applicator, packaging structure, filling route, decoration, order plan, or development schedule. In these situations, simply quoting the item requested is not enough.

KAIYA's role is to understand the intended product and identify the decisions that affect feasibility. That may mean recommending an existing package instead of opening a new mold, adjusting an applicator to suit formula viscosity, selecting a more suitable filling structure, simplifying a decoration plan, or coordinating formula and packaging development before production. Solving these questions early helps customers avoid unnecessary trials and choose a more workable route.

What We Bring Forward after Bangkok

Cosmoprof CBE ASEAN 2026 confirmed the direction KAIYA has been building over time: connect color-cosmetics R&D with practical packaging development, maintain quality at the level required by each project, and work with customers as a problem-solving partner.

After returning from Bangkok, our commitment is even clearer. We will continue investing in formula development, packaging materials and structures, custom mold capabilities, sample evaluation, manufacturing control, and the coordination needed to turn an idea into a production-ready product. We are grateful to the long-term partners who met us again, the new customers who shared their plans, and the industry peers who exchanged ideas with us during the show.

We look forward to bringing these conversations into the next round of products—and to returning to Bangkok with new developments to share.
